Luxon has been hired to develop several National Emergency Telecommunication Plans in different countries worldwide, including, Afghanistan in the Middle East; Somalia and Sudan in Africa; Saint Lucia in the Caribbean; and Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru in South America. This has been a great opportunity to implement the International Telecommunication Union guidelines on how to develop and implement such plans. For each country, a workshop with different stakeholders involved in emergency telecommunications, and more broadly, with disaster risk management, has been done.
